It will delight all those geeks and non-geeks to know that Natalie Portman’s boyfriend and herself broke up last September 2008. Devendra Banhart and Natalie Portman had been seeing each other shortly after Portman starred at Banhart’s music video for Carmensita.
The two had been seen a lot of times and although they actually looked good together and looked happy, a lot of fans still wished Natalie Portman would’ve picked someone else, a Kris Allen type of guy perhaps, a boy-next-door type for a girl-next-door like her. And now that Natalie Portman’s boyfriend—or ex-boyfriend rather—is no longer in the picture, she’s sure to bounce back easily and find someone new and better.
