Ricky Martin has recently been in the news because of his decision to have (hire?) a surrogate mother so he can have a child. The unnamed mother has just given birth to twins Matteo at Valentino. Ricky Martin is hands-on with his adorable babies. Could it be that he has been waiting to have kids and want to take care of them like his mother did to him? All this talk about one’s sexual orientation is really quite boring (see my comment on Anderson Cooper). I do happen to know whether Mr. Martin’s orientation is men or women but I would not “out” him so to speak if he were gay. From what I can ascertain Ricky is a good person and if he prefers to keep his private life “private” (as does Mr. Anderson) than I respect his decision. The same does not hold true for the Ted Haggert’s of the world or the hypocrites on Capital Hill in D.C. who sling forth anti-gay vitriol, and espouse family values, while they themselves are living a closeted life; do public restrooms sound familiar?
I don’t care if he is gay or not, but I do have a history of zeroing in on guys that end up being gay, both celebrities and in my private life. Sucks for me. But, Ricky is one hot guy, whom ever he chooses to sleep with!
